Jim has over ten years experience working with and advising growing companies, as well as first-hand entrepreneurial experience in two telecom start-ups.

Jim was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group of Kidder, Peabody & Co., where he was involved in numerous M & A and capital markets transactions. Subsequently, Jim joined Bain & Company, an international strategy consulting firm. While with Bain, Jim worked with the senior management of broadband and wireless companies to develop and implement new business launch strategies. Following his tenure with Bain, Jim joined a venture capital backed wireless broadband start-up, where his responsibilities included operations and business development in international markets.

Jim received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and German studies from Northwestern University, and a Masters degree in management from Northwestern's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, where he was a F.C. Austin Scholar. He is President of the Venture Capital Association of Colorado.
