BV-Cornerstone Ventures is a $100 million fund that invests nationwide in growth stage companies with $10 million to $50 million in revenue that are at or nearing profitability. We invest in a variety of industries, including software, business services and telecommunications services. We will only back experienced management teams and prefer companies where management has invested capital. We look for companies that are differentiated in a manner that is significant to a meaningful market segment. We generally back companies that have modest capital requirements, not exceeding $20 million, and 3 to 5 year exit plans. Finally, we seek, as part of our team, a domain expert who is looking to make an investment as well as having some level of ongoing involvement in the company. Like many venture capital funds, we recognize the value of bringing relevant industry and operational know-how to bear in helping our portfolio companies. However, we are unique in our disciplined pursuit of a small number of successful executives who would like to work with us on investment opportunities in later stage companies where they have domain expertise. When we find the right partner, we actively target our deal flow to find opportunities that are a good fit for both of us.
